# Where Do I Set Up My GCC?

## Carlson Hall Best Practices

## Top Locations for GCC Setup

-

## Indian Tech Hubs

## Gurugram

**Gurugram** is a top GCC hub in North India, offering proximity to Delhi and strong policy access. It attracts the top 1% of India's managerial and strategic talent across digital, fintech, and consulting. Fortune 500 firms such as IBM, Microsoft, and Google run hybrid GCCs here, combining product development with client-facing roles. Ranked #1 in modern infrastructure, it appeals to global executives and leadership teams. Agility, innovation, and co-located leadership make Gurugram a strategic choice for scaling GCCs.

## Bengaluru

**Bengaluru** leads in tech talent, startup vibrancy, and innovation infrastructure, making it a top choice for offshore R&D, AI, and engineering. Its mature ecosystem—featuring top universities, a skilled workforce, and deep tech partnerships—makes it ideal for complex Global Capability Centres. However, rapid growth has strained infrastructure, leading to flooding and poor road conditions. High competition also drives up attrition.

## Hyderabad

**Hyderabad** has emerged as a top GCC hub, home to giants like Amazon, Microsoft, and Wells Fargo. Its planned infrastructure and lower costs offer an edge over Bengaluru. Gachibowli and HITEC City house dense clusters of R&D and innovation centres. The city is leveraging AI tools to connect companies with deep tech talent. Hyderabad offers stability, scalability, and fast ramp-ups across functions.

## Chennai

**Chennai** is a trusted GCC hub, especially for BFSI and IT sectors like Citi and Standard Chartered. Its captives manage critical functions including risk, compliance, and analytics. The city offers a disciplined workforce, strong universities, and reliable infrastructure. Cost advantages and high-trust operations make it ideal for the Build-Operate-Transfer model. Chennai stands out for stability, scalability, and long-term value.

-

-

## Pune

**Pune** is a leading GCC hub for engineering, design, and automotive tech. Firms like Mercedes-Benz and Cummins drive core R&D, product design, and embedded software here. Its strong academic ecosystem ensures a steady pipeline of skilled talent. Pune enables specialized offshore services beyond IT support, focusing on core innovation. Often paired with Bengaluru, it helps balance cost, risk, and delivery across locations.
